Bluwave has frozen. What do I do next?
Most issues can be resolved by restarting the application. Return to the home screen by hitting the iPad home button. Now press the home button twice, which will bring up your iPad® applications at the bottom of the screen. Press and hold the Bluwave icon until it shakes. Press the minus red button to quit the application, then restart Bluwave.

How do I print reports?
When you view a report, press the right-hand icon with the arrow for printer options. You must have an iOS compatible printer, USB hub or our recommended software, FingerPrint™ or Lantronix®. To print a batch number of reports, go to the Reports tab and “Send Reports” button. There you will select a facility and date, check all the reports you want to send and Bluwave will create one file allowing you to email or print.

How do I import pharmacy-dispensing data?
Using a special USB stick, you install iFlashdrive’s free app and connect to it via its app, direct it to where your pharmacy dispensing file is saved. You then press and hold on the file name and select “Open in Bluwave.” Which will then lead you through a guided process to import. From Email or Dropbox, simply open the email or file and hold the icon until “Open in Bluwave” appears. From that point on, Bluwave will open and take over controls allowing you to continue. I have a new iPad. How do I transfer my Bluwave app?
Go to your account settings, click the transfer button on the upper-left hand side. It will provide a transfer code for you to use in the install of Bluwave on your new device. Otherwise, simply restoring your new iPad via an iTunes or iCloud back up will bring Bluwave onto it.

How do I migrate data from my previous software?
We provide you a free migration tool, which you will run on your PC, which will create a .BL7.zip file on your desktop. You will receive the user guide to walk you through the details. Depending on the size of your facilities, this process could take anywhere from 30-60 minutes.

Is my patient data safe?
Yes, all stored data is HIPAA compliant and encrypted with AES 256 encryption.

Will my data still be there if my subscription expires?
Yes, your data is secure until you delete the application from the iPad. If you want to change devices, be sure to leverage iCloud to back-up your patient data.

Why do I need to back-up my data? And how do I restore my data?
If you are syncing with iTunes® or iCloud it will backup all data including patient records. This is important as Bluwave does not automatically back up data on your device.

How do I import/export facilities to another Bluwave user?
Under settings, select Import/Export, then you have the option to export or import a facility. To import a facility, you will need a connection through email or a service like DropBox or Airstash® to establish a connection where your facility files are stored. You then press and hold on the file name and select “Open in Bluwave.” Now return to settings in the import/export menu where the facility will be available for import. You will need your decryption key to finish the process.

I’m trying to view a patient report, but it keeps giving me the option to edit it.
Press the arrow to the right-hand side of the patient report. Selecting the name of the report will provide the option to edit it.
